About this item
Hunting for an HP Pavilion mx705 CRT monitor? This 17-inch flat screen tube display connects over VGA at 1280 x 1024, a pairing that retro PC builders often seek out for period-correct setups. The seller notes it has no speakers.
Is a 17 inch CRT PC monitor worth it for retro gaming?
On older PCs and vintage games, a VGA CRT keeps the look those titles were designed around. That is why working units stay in demand with collectors.
- It is listed as open box, so ask the seller for power-on photos and whether the image is sharp and stable.
- CRTs are heavy and fragile. Read the listing's packing and shipping details carefully.
- There are no speakers, so plan for separate audio.
