What should I check on an open-box Ryzen 7 9800X3D gaming CPU?
Rough handling can damage a processor, so the photos and condition notes matter more than the box. Make sure what you see matches what you are paying for.
- Look for clear photos of the top and underside of the CPU to confirm it is the 9800X3D and shows no damage.
- Check whether a cooler is included, and plan to buy one if not.
- Your motherboard must be AM5, because older AM4 boards will not work.
- Confirm your board's BIOS supports this processor before installing.
