About this item
TrackPoint loyalists know the ThinkPad T420 keyboard well, and this custom USB ThinkPad T420 TrackPoint keyboard brings that layout to a desktop. It's listed as NOS and SK-8855 inspired, new at $99.00.
Can you use a ThinkPad T420 TrackPoint keyboard on a desktop PC?
That's the point of this custom build. The USB connection lets you use a laptop-style keyboard with a TrackPoint on a standard computer. Programmers and writers who like keeping their hands on the home row may appreciate it.
- What NOS means: new old stock refers to unused older parts, so ask about storage and condition.
- Compatibility: confirm which operating systems the seller has tested.
- Pointer buttons: check that the TrackPoint buttons and scrolling work as described.
- Build details: look closely at the case and cable in the photos, since this is a custom piece.
