Crucial X9 1 TB Portable Solid State Drive External ct1000x9ssd9 1050MB/s-NEW

About this item

Video editors, photographers and students moving big project folders between computers often look for a Crucial X9 1TB portable SSD. This new unit (CT1000X9SSD9) is listed at $135. The title lists a speed of 1050MB/s, a big step up from older spinning external hard drives for backups and file transfers.

Will I get 1050MB/s from this external SSD?

Real speeds depend on your computer's port and cable. A slower USB port will limit transfers, so check what your laptop or desktop supports.

• Confirm which cable is included, and whether you need an adapter for USB-A or USB-C.
• Check the listing for compatibility with Mac, Windows or game consoles.
• Look at the photos to confirm the package is sealed and new.
• Keep a second backup of important files, because one drive alone isn't a full backup plan.
