About this item
The Glorious GMMK 3 wired mechanical keyboard with linear switches is priced at $39.95, and the title says why: the RGB lighting is listed as bad. If you care more about typing and gaming feel than glow, that trade-off could save you money.
Is a GMMK 3 with bad RGB still worth buying?
That depends on what the lighting fault covers. Ask the seller whether every key registers correctly and what exactly is wrong with the RGB. It could be dead zones, flicker or no lighting at all.
- Key test: ask for a keyboard tester screenshot, or ask about stuck or missing keys.
- Linear switches: these give smooth, non-tactile presses, a popular choice for gaming.
- Open box: check the photos for the included cable and any keycap wear.
- Late nights: if the backlighting doesn't work, you'll need room light to see the keys.
