About this item
If you want RTX 5090 power for a bit less, this i9 14900K gaming desktop PC lists a 24-core i9 14900K processor, 128GB of DDR5 RAM, a 4TB SSD and WiFi 6 for $3,099.99, new. That undercuts many 5090 builds while keeping the same flagship graphics card.
Does an i9 14900K gaming desktop still make sense with an RTX 5090?
The 14900K is a previous-generation chip but remains a fast option for gaming, streaming and multithreaded work. The listing also notes WiFi 6 rather than the newer WiFi 7 standard.
- Check the CPU cooler in the description; this processor runs hot under sustained load.
- Ask whether the BIOS has been updated to the latest version.
- Look for the power supply model and wattage before buying.
- Purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
A solid pick for gamers who care more about the GPU than the newest platform.
