About this item
Logging in with a fingertip instead of a password is the main draw of the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. The title says it is for Mac models with Apple silicon, so it is aimed at owners of newer Macs, from students with a docked MacBook to office workers on a desktop Mac. This one is listed as new for $65.
Will Touch ID work on my Mac with this keyboard?
Touch ID on this keyboard is made for Apple silicon Macs, per the title. If your Mac uses an Intel chip, check the listing or Apple's compatibility notes first.
- Find your chip under About This Mac before ordering.
- Look for the layout (US or other) in the listing photos.
- Check whether a charging cable is shown as included.
- Confirm the color and whether it has a numeric keypad, since the title doesn't say.
