About this item
Built-in DVD burners are rare on modern laptops, and that alone makes the HP Laptop 17-by4007ds stand out. This open-box 17.3-inch model costs $269.99. The title lists an Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, 256GB of storage, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 6 and Windows 10 Home.
Is a Windows 10 HP 17-inch laptop still a smart buy?
Microsoft ended Windows 10 support in October 2025, so the operating system matters here. Ask whether the seller has upgraded it to Windows 11, or plan to handle the upgrade yourself.
- DVD drive: handy for burning discs, ripping CDs or installing older software.
- Memory: 8GB covers browsing and office work, but heavy multitasking will feel tight.
- Open box: look over the photos and the seller's condition notes carefully.
- Part code: the title includes 4L3G9UA#ABA, which helps when you're matching specs or looking up drivers.
A large, low-cost screen for home use, seniors or a family computer.
