About this item
Arctic MX-4 thermal paste in a 4 g amount is a cheap, practical fix when a CPU or GPU runs hotter than it should. At $2.19 new, it suits first-time builders installing a cooler and gamers repasting an aging graphics card. It also works for anyone refreshing an old laptop or desktop.
How much Arctic MX-4 thermal paste do I need for a CPU?
A small pea-sized dot in the center is usually enough for a desktop CPU, because the cooler's pressure spreads it. A 4 g supply can cover more than one job.
- Clean first: remove the old compound with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
- GPU and laptop jobs: check the thermal pads too. This paste only replaces the paste layer.
- Packaging: at this price, compare the packaging in the photos with genuine Arctic retail packaging.
- Applicator: the title does not mention a spatula, so check the listing.
