About this item
Retro tech collectors may like this vintage Nimble NBK-240 cordless infrared keyboard, which is listed as new in an opened box and described as complete. Infrared keyboards were an early form of wireless input, and the chance to own one that is unused is the main draw at $50.
Can the Nimble NBK-240 infrared keyboard work with a modern PC?
Possibly, but do not count on it. Infrared needs a matching receiver and a clear line of sight, and older receivers may use connectors that modern computers lack. Treat it mainly as a collector's item or a piece for a retro setup.
- Receiver: confirm it is in the box and check its plug type in the photos.
- Batteries: look for corrosion in the battery compartment.
- Contents: ask the seller to list exactly what is included, such as manuals.
- Plastics: check for yellowing.
