About this item
Few boards carry as much history as the Raspberry Pi 1. This open-box single board computer is marked Model 2011.12 and listed at $29. It is an affordable piece of the original Raspberry Pi generation for collectors, computing teachers and curious tinkerers.
Is a Raspberry Pi 1 single board computer still useful today?
As a display piece or teaching aid, yes. For practical projects, first-generation hardware is much slower than current boards and may not run today's software well. Stick to simple, lightweight tasks.
- Exact revision: compare the board markings in the photos with what you want for a collection.
- Extras: the listing mentions no SD card, power supply or case.
- Condition: look closely at the photos for bent pins or damaged ports.
- Value: compare with similar early boards listed on eBay.
