About this item
If two monitors feel cluttered, a 30-inch curved ultrawide gaming monitor gives you one wide 21:9 canvas instead. This Sceptre runs at 2560x1080, adding extra width for racing games, flight sims and side-by-side windows. It is listed open box at $220.
Is 2560x1080 sharp enough on a 30" ultrawide?
It shares the vertical resolution of 1080p, stretched wider, so text looks a little softer than on higher-resolution panels. The upside is that it is easier for mid-range graphics cards to drive.
- Check the refresh rate and inputs in the listing, since the title leaves them out.
- Look for photos of the screen powered on to spot dead pixels or marks.
- Confirm the stand, power adapter and video cable are in the box.
- Measure your desk width and depth before ordering.
