About this item

A bigger screen isn't always a sharper one, and that's the main trade-off with the Acer AOpen 32SA2Q 31.5-inch FHD IPS monitor. You get a large, ultra-thin widescreen with a 75Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response rating. It's $91.99 in open-box condition.

Is 1080p on a 31.5-inch monitor sharp enough?

At a normal desk distance, text looks softer than on a 27-inch 1080p screen. It works well for video, casual games and people who like larger text.

• Inputs: The title is cut off, so confirm the ports and included cables.
• Open box: Check for a stand and power cord, and look for photos of the screen turned on.
• Viewing distance: Sitting farther back makes FHD look sharper on a 31.5-inch screen.
• Best uses: Streaming, light gaming and spreadsheets zoomed in to a larger size.
