About this item
Mining rigs and multi-GPU workstations use a lot of power, and this 2000W 80+ Platinum power supply is listed for rigs running 6 to 8 GPUs. An independent eBay seller lists it as new at $49.99. The title doesn't name a brand.
Is a 2000W mining PSU safe for my rig?
That depends on details the title doesn't give. Many high-wattage units need a 220-240V outlet to deliver full output, so check the input voltage rating before you buy.
- Connectors: count the PCIe GPU leads and check for a motherboard connector if you need one.
- Form factor: server-style and ATX units mount differently, so check which one this is.
- Certification: the price is very low for this wattage, so look for proof of the 80+ Platinum rating.
- Cover: eligible purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
It's best for experienced builders who are comfortable with high-load wiring.
