About this item
Open-box pricing makes the MSI MPG 491CQP 49" curved OLED gaming monitor far more approachable at $549. The title lists a 144Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, a combination aimed squarely at racing sims, flight games and immersive single-player titles.
What should you inspect on an open-box 49-inch OLED monitor?
Prior use can matter more on OLED than on other panel types, so study the photos and seller notes carefully.
- Panel health: ask about image retention, dead pixels or marks on the screen surface.
- Hours of use: ask roughly how long it was used before it was returned.
- Accessories: confirm that the stand, power supply and video cables are included.
- Your GPU: check the resolution in the listing and make sure your graphics card can drive it at 144Hz.
Beyond gaming, a 49" canvas gives editors and traders room for several windows side by side.
