About this item
This Xiaomi 27-inch gaming monitor offers a high refresh rate on a budget: 165Hz, a 1ms response rating, a 1920x1080 Fast IPS panel, HDR10 support and FreeSync. It is listed new at $154.99.
Is a 1080p 165Hz monitor good for gaming at 27 inches?
In fast shooters and esports, 165Hz makes the bigger difference, and mid-range graphics cards can run 1080p at high frame rates. Text and fine detail look softer than on a 1440p screen at this size, which matters more for office work than for games.
- FreeSync needs a compatible graphics card, so check yours.
- Check the inputs and which one supports 165Hz.
- See whether a DisplayPort or HDMI cable comes in the box.
- Look for stand adjustments or VESA support in the listing.
A solid match for mid-range gaming PCs and players upgrading from a 60Hz screen.
