About this item
Rather than sourcing parts yourself, you can buy this custom Raspberry Pi 5 8GB build with a 256GB NVMe SSD already installed in a Freenove case. The open-box unit is listed at $650.00, so it's aimed at makers who want a finished setup over a box of parts.
Is a prebuilt Raspberry Pi 5 with NVMe storage worth the price?
That depends on what the seller has added. NVMe storage is a popular upgrade for home servers, media centers and coding projects. Price out the parts separately to compare.
- Full parts list: ask whether the build includes a power supply, cooling or a display.
- Software: check what operating system is installed, if any.
- Custom build: look closely at the photos of the case assembly and wiring.
- Open-box notes: read the seller's condition details.
